Anne Phung Nguyen

My name is Anne Phung Nguyen and I am an Vietnamese American entrepreneur residing in gorgeous Orange County California with my wonderful fiance JP and my happy-go-lucky Dad Henry. The majority of people know me through my Instagram @annephung. I document my life - the highs, the lows and all in between. My parents took me to America in the year 1990, at which point I was only one and a half years old. I would not be able to share my story to you now if my parents didn't work to the max and sacrifice. Being aware of the possibility at a better future I strived to be their proudest and was a shrewd entrepreneur in the direction of the success. I believed my life would go one way or another: I'd graduate from college, land an employment opportunity in the corporate world, then be married, and then start an family. My idea of success was to go to college, graduate and get an employment in a corporation. Then I'd get married then buy a house, and start a family. But life had different plans. The year 2013 brought me to the realization that I disliked my corporate position. Although the salary and position was good, I didn't feel like the work was satisfying. Instead I felt that I was doing nothing but wasting time. While I moved to a new path in life I discovered that I was a personal trainer and what I wanted to do. I'm a sucker of exercise and enjoy working with people and help people. The year 2014 was the year I began my small business and this year 2021 I will be celebrating my 7th anniversary. There are very few Asian women are employed in the fashion industry. In the coaching industry, I want to change the world by providing quality training to aid others to become more healthy and happy. Additionally, I would like others to be empowered to pursue their goals and be able to achieve whatever it is they wish for in life. As my professional career took flight I also lost my mom. This loss is the worst of everything. The eight years she fought fight with Scleroderma. Then she's in Heaven, and I keep her in my heart. Life's lessons are often hidden from us, but they can be very beneficial. There are many ways that my mother's passing changed me. It is my belief that she provided me with another chance to be a part of her story after she passed away. The day she died in the year of Tet/Lunar New Year Day was the chance to create with a fresh start. For me, it was a second chance for me to live a fulfilling life. As I enter my 30's, I feel more vibrant than I have ever. I am able to say that I live my life today rather than just existing like I was before. The purpose of sharing my experience is to show you that you're not alone. I want you to feel that love is real and that a therapy session can be common. Your health is truly the most important asset you have. As death is all there is in this world I want you to enjoy living your life to the fullest and leave without regrets.
